Castle Bookshop Mysteries

As Essie Lang, I'm writing the Castle Bookshop Mysteries set in the Thousand Islands region of New York. As it states, the bookshop is in a castle, but it's a fictious one, on a fictious island, and seasonal with the main store in Alexandria Bay, NY.

Here are the covers of the first two books. If you enjoy a cozy mystery, with a touch of romance and of course, murder....these may belong on your reading list. Shelby Cox moves back to the town where she was born, Alexandria Bay, NY to temporarily run her aunt's bookshop while she recovers from surgery. It's also a great opportunity for her to find out more about her mom who died when Shelby was quite young. The first surprise that awaits her is finding out she co-owns the bookstore and its seasonal shop in Blye Castle on Blye Island. Ideal, right? Except for the bodies that turn up, and the muddled facts about her mom, and the annoyingly dreamy Coast Guard Investigative officer who tries to prevent her from getting involved in the investigations. Oh, did I mention she lives on a houseboat! Will Shelby get her life sorted and the murderers (one in every book!) behind bars?
